Introducing the Wankband: the first wearable tech that allows you to love the planet ... by loving yourself!
The device is being proposed by the folks at Pornhub. "We’re concerned about the amount of energy consumed by our users while enjoying the millions of hours of content we provide on our site," the company explained. "That’s why we’ve decided to pitch in to help save the environment by creating a revolutionary wearable tech device. Find out more about the Wankband and how you can create dirty energy at www.thewankband.com and sign up to become a Be(a)ta tester so you can find out how this amazing invention can help you save the planet."
Could it be a real thing? Inventors have created similar devices powered by walking and running, so a charger that works while you jerk seems like a very real possibility. But won't it get in the way?
CPAC (the Conservative Political Action Conference) took place this past week. It's where the extremely right-wing - like Sarah Palin and Ted Cruz and Rick Santorum - gather to talk about all the things they hate. (Like gay marriage, gay rights, Obama and liberals.)
Reason TV headed to the convention to look for gay people and get their take on being conservative and queer. The tool of choice: Grindr.
"For conservatives if they are going to be able to win an election, they are going to need to get younger voters," said one 19-year-old gay man. "And to do that they need to be more socially liberal. Essentially, they need to shift libertarian."
The sentiment is in step with a June 2014 Reason-Rupe poll of millennials that found 53 percent of millennials would support a presidential candidate who was both socially liberal and fiscally conservative.
