Queer Eye's Karamo Brown returns to social media

Queer Eye’s Karamo Brown is back.

Brown returned to Instagram on Friday after a two week break from all social media. He shut down most of his online accounts following the massive amount of criticism he received after calling Sean Spicer a "really good guy, really sweet guy." Brown went on to post that he was “excited to sit down with [Dancing with the Stars co-star and former Trump Press Secretary Spicer] and engage in a respectful conversation.”

Spicer, the short-lived press secretary for Donald Trump, has never apologized for actively spreading several lies from the President (such as crowd size). Many on the left feel he was an active co-conspirator in pushing a right-wing, anti-immigrant, anti-LGBT agenda.

Several people called out Brown for seeming to forget Spicer's role in the administration. Brown started blocking his critics on Twitter.

"After what he’s said about [Sean Spicer] and the fact that he’s blocked folks for calling him out on it, it’s an honor and a privilege to be blocked by [Brown]," tweeted Noah Michelson, Editorial Director of HuffPost Personal. "If you’re considering getting an 'emotional or mental makeover' from this piece of work, reconsider."

Ouch!

Brown tried to clarify his remarks, posting:
“A trained social worker and my first instinct is always to sit down and have a conversation. But I understand how my comments could lead people to believe that I don’t understand the gravity of the situation. The personal is political… I’m reminded of it daily as a gay man of color. [...] I’m bringing my personal message of love, equity & inclusion to the dance floor. I want it to eclipse & triumph over divisiveness [and] hatred.”
On Friday, Brown resurfaced.

“So… some of you may know I deleted my other social media pages and took a long break from posting on [Instagram] because I [have] been in a bad state of mind. My kids/family and I were being threatened by strangers… People who I thought supported and loved me turned their backs on me… saying I was a traitor, a horrible person, delusional and treating me really bad… but as I walk into my first dance rehearsal for [Dancing with the Stars] No More Tears and No More Holding My Head Low!"

He added: "#EverythingsGonnaBeOkay ❤️😘 #ImBack."
