Revenge-porn site owner has a change of heart

CraigTwo Colorado-based revenge porn sites have been shut down, as co-owner Craig Brittain (pictured) claims he is exploring a new, more positive path in life.

"I wanted to turn towards peace and love and a respectful occupation, which is why I closed the websites down," Brittain tweeted, later adding that his sites ObamaNudes.com and IsAnyBodyDown.com would not be relaunched.

Revenge-porn sites allow individuals to post naked pictures of ex-boyfriends and ex-girlfriends, often linking the images to the person's Facebook page.

Brittain was not facing any immediate charges when he announced his decision, although both the Colorado Springs Police Department and Fourth Judicial District Attorney’s Office admitted they were watching Brittain's online activities closely.

"Smart move on his part," adult entertainment attorney Marc Randazza said. "I question the sincerity of his contrition though."

Interestingly, Brittain's sites advertised the services of New York attorney David Blade III, who offered to remove victims’ photos and any personal information for $250. Journalists later discovered that Blade did not exist and was simply an alias for Brittain.

I say he should be stripped down, photographed and have his personal information shared online. Let's see how he likes it!
