Dean Monroe quits porn, blames blacklisting

Dean Monroe has announced the end of his thirteen-year gay porn career, taking a few shots at the industry on his way out. 
Since 2000, Munroe has starred in scores of  DVD releases for several studios, including Falcon and Hothouse,  plus many more web-exclusive scenes.

In a farewell blog post entitled "Shame, Shame, Shame," the British stud claims that he was blacklisted by major studios after he did some work for Treasure Island Media last year. Why he decided to do work for the notorious bareback studio is not clear. Both he and his scene partner Harley Everett assert that they did not have bareback  sex in  Treasure Island's Overload, yet screencaps from the film appear to show Everett's naked dick going into Monroe's butt. 

Monroe says that after winning this year's CyberSocket Surfers' Choice Award for Best Pornstar, he thought studios would be scrambling to cast him - but they weren't. He believes he has been typecast as a bareback model now, so the condom studios won't touch him. 

The thing is that other models have moved from mainstream to bareback and back again. Given that the shelf life of the average porn model is maybe two years, and a career longer than five years is very rare, perhaps Mr. Monroe  - at 13 years - has simply reached his natural best before date. Isn't that usually when models start working for Treasure Island?
