Soy's gay? Oy vey!

According to Rabbi Yaakov Aryeh Alter, leader of the Ger Hasidic  sect, boys should not eat soy. In fact, he has banned his students from eating soya products, hoping to keep them on the straight and narrow. 

The Rabbi, who is based in Israel, claims soy can lead to "unwanted sexual arousal" because it messes with a person's hormones. Boys become more effeminate, making them more attractive to other students and teachers.

Girls are also to refrain from evil soy, as it will cause them to mature sexually too quickly.

Alter has gay sex on the brain, it seems. He once asked men to stop shaking hands with other men, because the "normative incidental physical contact" could lead to anal sex. (Note to self: shake more hands.)

Though large amounts of soy could alter estrogen levels in the body, the amount one would have to ingest to make any difference would be enormous. There's absolutely no scientific evidence to support the rabbi's claims, but maybe God revealed it to him in a dream.
